NFRC Certified and ENERGY STAR Qualified

Our ENERGY STAR qualified windows and doors are independently tested by National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) certified labs, ensuring that homeowners like you, have access to accurate information when looking to replace the windows and doors in your home.  
ENERGY STAR is a U.S. government program that gives people the power to protect the environment in a cost effective way without sacrificing quality or product features.  However ENERGY STAR qualification is based on U-Factor and SHGC ratings only.  Many window brands will meet that qualification, but that does not make them truly energy efficient.  Air infiltration ratings are critical for ultimate window performance and NFRC will only register 0.1 as their lowest number and ENERGY STAR does not use this factor.
Sunrise's Double Hung window is tested at a very low .03. Checking other brands infiltration ratings will tell you if the window is not only ENERGY STAR qualified, but energy efficient and that saves you money.

Energy Efficient Insulation

Our windows have environmentally friendly polyurethane insulated extrustions that provide higher R-factors than typical multi-chambered vinyl windows.  Surise windows are also constructed using energy efficient pure virgin uPVC, that helps in keeping your home insulated.
